Solvik
Solvik is Medicinska Föreningen’s sports cottage on the island of Värmdö, situated on the outskirts on Stockholm. It is a collection of small cottages by the water in the remote Beatelund. Here you can go when you want to party, bathe in the sauna, paddle in a canoe, hang out with friends, eat well, wander in the woods, lie in the sun, study in peace and quiet or simply watch boats passing by.
At Solvik there are plenty of beds, two bathing docks, a sauna and boats. The kitchen is fully equipped including a dishwasher and it is possible to cook for about 30 people. During the autumn, winter and spring season, Solvik is rented at a daily rate. In the summer, it is rented at a weekly rate.
Going by bus from Slussen and walking the last bit takes about 40 minutes. Going by car is faster.
Conveniences
24 beds + some extra mattresses and sofas.
2 water toilets. No shower.
Fully equipped kitchen including oven, fireplace and dishwasher.
Firepit outside and kettle grill.
Fully drinkable tap water from our own well.
Radiators in all cabins, as well as fireplaces in the large cabin.
Wood fired sauna with room for at least 15 people.
Two bathing docks, one by the main cabin and one in direct connection to the sauna.
